Abstract

An solar battery (SB) efficiency doesn’t exceed 15-25 %. Improvement of SB opertation mode is pos-sible with maximum point power tracker device which is, as usual, a power converter (PC). Conditions of maximum energy picking from the solar battery (SB) which works on PC are analyzed. The accurate con-dition of maximum energy picking for the case of the PC non-linear input current is derived. For a boost converter example the comparative analysis of the derived condition with known one for the converter linear current is performed. The circuits with an accumulator is considered. The simplified system models based non-linear SB characteristic, small current ripple and ideal acuumulator are developed. Three typical system modes with different duty cycle values are considered which are describe different match conditions of the PC and SB. The non-linear differential equation system are solved and maximum energy picking is calculated. Neglectable small of SB energy increasing, smaller than 0.1 %, for the accurate condition in all researched modes is shown. The recommendation of practical implementation the linear current conditions according to its simple practical realization is given. Ref. 11, fig. 4, tabl. 1.
