Digital archiving policy

Data archiving and backup are very important steps to protect articles from being lost due to system failures or if the primary publisher ceases to publish the journal. Power Engineering: Economics, Technique, Ecology uploads data using PKP PN archival service. In addition backup data is uploaded to the Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine and Electronic Archive of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute (ELAKPI).

The journal Power Engineering: Economics, Technique, Ecology ensures long-term preservation and continuous availability of published materials in accordance with the principles of open access and digital reliability. Electronic versions are archived using specialized digital preservation systems, including LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe), which ensures the creation of distributed backup copies in libraries and information centers and allows for automatic data recovery in case of loss or damage.

All articles, after acceptance for publication and release of the corresponding issue, are made available in open permanent access on the official journal website in the “Archive” section. Full-text materials are stored in formats suitable for long-term digital preservation, with permanent identification ensured through DOI. The editorial office takes organizational and technical measures to guarantee the integrity, authenticity, and availability of scientific content regardless of changes in software or technical infrastructure.
