Author Guidelines

All manuscripts must be submitted through the electronic submission system on the journal’s website.If submitted materials do not comply with the formatting requirements or the journal’s scope, the editorial board will return the manuscript to the authors for revision.Manuscript RequirementsAuthors must comply with all requirements listed below when submitting a manuscript.Article LengthThe total length of the article should be 6–10 A4 pages. Pages must be fully filled with text.Figures, tables, schemes, and formulas must be numbered and placed in the text after they are referenced.The material should be presented concisely, without duplicating data from tables and figures in the text.The use of formatting elements such as “section break (new page)” and headers/footers is not allowed.Text Editor and File FormatsThe article must be prepared in Microsoft Word (version 2007 or higher) and saved in .docx format.Additionally, a .pdf version of the article must be submitted.General Formatting1. LanguageArticles are accepted in two languages: Ukrainian and English.2. Page LayoutMargins: 2.5 cm on all sides.Alignment: justified.First line indent: 1.0 cm.Font: Times New Roman, size 10.Line spacing: single.Title: uppercase (Caps Lock), bold, size 14.Section headings (e.g., Introduction, Aim and Objectives) must be bold.3. Article StructureUDC number (top left corner, bold, size 10);authors’ names and information (academic degree, academic title); ORCID is mandatory;author name format: e.g., I.I. Petrenko (Ukr.), I. Petrenko (Eng.);full name of the institution (aligned to the right);abstract (1000–1100 characters), which must:reflect the content of the article;not repeat the title;avoid general phrases;be structured (purpose, methodology, results, conclusions).for the English version, the abstract should be 1700–2000 characters;keywords (6–8 words), with the phrase Keywords in bold italics.Mandatory Elements of a Scientific ArticleAccording to the requirements, a scientific article must include the following elements:Main TextIntroductionStatement of the problem, its connection with important scientific or practical tasks; analysis of recent research and publications; identification of unresolved issues addressed in the article.Aim and ObjectivesFormulation of the article’s purpose and objectives.Materials and Research ResultsPresentation of the main research material with full justification of scientific results, possibly divided into subsections with appropriate titles.ConclusionsThe main findings of the study and prospects for further research in this field.Requirements for Figures, Tables, and FormulasIf tables or figures have been reproduced from other sources, a letter from the copyright holder stating authorization to reproduce the material must be attached.FiguresFigures (diagrams, photos, etc.) must be black-and-white and placed after references in the text.Each figure must be a single, non-separable graphical object.Recommended resolution: at least 300 dpi.Figures must be centered without text wrapping.Captions must include numbering and explanatory text.Captions must not be embedded in the figure itself.Figures must not occupy the entire page.Graphs must include axis labels directly on the figure.No periods should be placed after section headings.TablesFont size in tables: 10 pt.Each table must have a number and title.Tables must be placed after the first reference in the text.If a table continues on another page, use “Table continuation”.FormulasFormulas must be created using MathType (version 6.8 or higher) or the built-in Microsoft Word equation editor.Sizes: normal — 11, large index — 10, small index — 9.Cyrillic and Greek symbols must be upright; Latin letters — italic.Operators and standard functions must be upright.Formula numbering must be placed on the right in parentheses.Decimal separator: comma.Units must be separated by a space.ReferencesReferences must be listed in the order of appearance in the text.Ukrainian version — according to DSTU 8302:2015.Citations in the text must be in square brackets.References must be provided twice:in the original language (DSTU 8302:2015);in English (IEEE style).The reference list must include at least 15 sources relevant to the topic of the article, of which:at least 70% must have a DOI;at least 50% must be articles published within the last five years in journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science;the authors’ self-citations must not exceed 20%;references to publications from the journal Power Engineering: Economics, Technique, Ecology published within the last three years must not exceed 20% of the total number of references in the article.English-Language ElementsStandard terminology must be used when translating academic degrees, titles, and positions.The English abstract should be longer (1700–2000 characters), as it is often the only source of information for international readers.AdditionalAuthors must declare any financial support or relationships that may pose a conflict of interest.The editorial board reserves the right to edit manuscripts.Author InformationAuthor information must be provided in a separate file in both Ukrainian and English.Full name (without abbreviations).Academic degree, academic title, position.Place of work (full official name).Postal address with ZIP code.Contact phone number.Email address.ORCID.Submission Packagearticle in .docx format;article in .pdf format;author information form.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.
