Abstract

The need for the use of electronic devices and systems in cars and trucks is constantly increasing. The cost of electronic equipment now exceeds one third of the cost of a car. But the process of "electrification" of cars is still ongoing. In the future, this will lead to an increase in the number and functional saturation of the engine and transmission controls, the electronic security system and others. In this case, the question arises whether the data of electronic systems work properly. To date, electronic system malfunctions can only be diagnosed by a specialized car service where the necessary equipment is available. However, it is no secret that car service is an expansive pleasure. In addition, to complete the service, you need to wait for your turn, which might come next month. This situation forces you to give up the broken car for this period of time. Thus, the purpose of this work is to create a device by which you can diagnose malfunctions of electronic car systems at  home. The device should be characterized by low mass, overall size and low cost and be easy to use. The modern automatic transmission is a high-tech unit that is controlled by electronic systems. Numerous sensors receive  information about the parameters of the transmission and transmit data to the central control unit of the automatic trans mission. An automatic "brain" analyzes all the data received and sends commands to shift gears or change the parameters  of the transmission. Like any other electronic device, the automatic transmission control unit may malfunction. That is why it is important to be able to track the malfunction of the appliance for further repair. For this purpose it is suggested to connect in a parallel device for checking the electronic systems of the car, which acts as a reference (functional) control unit of the automatic transmission, by which it is possible to trace at what point of time the faulty control unit works off as it should, which will allow to establish the nature of the breakdown, which , in turn, will eliminate it with the least possible financial cost. Based on what percentage of the cost of the car falls on electronic systems, as well as their number in cars, it was concluded that the efficiency of these systems is a very important issue that worries every owner of a modern car. In this paper, a device was presented to verify the correct operation of these electronic systems. As a prototype, a device has been created and modeled to test the operation of such systems as the automatic control unit and the climate control unit. The vector of further development of the device and possible applications are also suggested.
